Gaza, Aug 28 (Prensa Latina) - At least six Palestinians were killed by the Israeli army (Tsahal) in a ground and air offensive carried out since Saturday in several towns of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Four of the victims were members of the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS), who were stuck while walking by a missile launched from a plane, witnesses said.

Tel Aviv only recognized three deaths and referred to a brief combat with HAMAS activists.

Another Palestinian died when a unit of Tsahal entered the settlement of Rafah and opened fire on a group of people, killing a 21-year-old man.

The sixth victim was also shot, in an attack in the West Bank.

Over the weekend in Sejayieh, at least eight people were killed and more than a dozen were wounded, including two foreign TV cameramen.

The International Institute for Security of Information in Brussels has asked Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to launch an investigation into this incident.
