Actualité - Iran for Peaceful Nuclear Program

Teheran, Jan 15 (Prensa Latina) - The Iranian government s spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham said that his country continues the plan of installing 3,000 centrifuges in Natanz and Ispahan cities to develop its nuclear program with peaceful ends.

He said that to generate enough energy to resolve growing necessities, Iran has to build 10 nuclear electric plants and for that reason "the operations will progress."

Hossein Elham reiterated the Teheran decision of adhering to the Treaty of Not Nuclear Proliferation (PNT) and ignoring threats of resolution 1737 of the UN Security Council.

Financial and technical sanctions on the Islamic republic were unanimously approved by 15 members of the international organization on December 23.

"Iran carries out all its nuclear activities under the supervision of the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Organization and will continue with its program to obtain the nuclear fuel with peaceful ends," Hossein Elham highlighted.
