Washington, Apr 18 (Prensa Latina) - US President George W Bush asserted his Armed Forces could launch a military attack on Iran, irrespective of Iranian affirmations of the peaceful purpose of its nuclear program.

In a press conference Tuesday, Bush told reporters, "all options are on the table."

The US president declared, without offering proof, that Iranian nuke activities have a military purpose, and officials of his administration are discussing the issue with Great Britain, France and Germany.

"We want to resolve this issue diplomatically and we are working hard to do so," Bush said, although his representative to the UN asked that Iran be sanctioned, resorting to UN Charter Chapter II, which includes military aggression.

New Yorker magazine recently published that Bush was planning to attack Iran´s Natanz nuclear facilities, and he could use atomic bombs.

President Mahmud Ahmadinejad made it clear today that Iran represented no threat for any nation and strongly defended peace, but it is capable of destroying any aggressor.
