Santiago de Chile, Sep 6 (Prensa Latina) - Chilean health workers took the central offices of that ministry Wednesday, in protest of the lack of progress in negotiations with the government for increased wages and resources.

About 50 affiliates of the National Federation of University Professionals of Health Services entered the ministry headquarter very early today and closed the main doors of the building with chains.

The action concluded an hour later, after the intervention of the police, with no violent acts or arrests reported.

In the meantime, the National Unitary Federation of Health Workers agreed to a full work stoppage in El Peral and El Pino Hospitals, in Santiago, and Valparaiso s Psychiatric hospital, demanding a revision of the agreement reached last week.
