Havana, Apr 30 (Prensa Latina) General Secretary of the Confederation of Cuban Workers, Pedro Ross, said on Sunday that his fellow countrymen will march on May Day in support to the Revolution and Socialism.

Ross reasserted that Havana"s historic Square of the Revolution will be the stage of the workers´ main march on Monday; though he said similar celebrations will take place in the country"s 14 provincial capitals.

It is expected that over seven million people celebrate May Day all over the country. This is an amazing figure, taking into account that Cuba has 11.2 million inhabitants, said Ross.

It will be a mass demonstration of unity and common principles and interests between the Cuban people and the Communist Party, under the leadership of President Fidel Castro.

In a statement to Prensa Latina, Ross stressed that the Cuban workers´ march to celebrate May Day will also show a strong rejection to the US threats and aggressions against the Caribbean country.
