Actualité - Islamic Conference Slams Israel

Franc-Parler publie une dépêche de Prensa Latina News Agency rapport que l'Organisation de la Conférence islamique a fermement condamné l'agression sioniste contre le Liban et le peuple palestinien.

Kuala Lumpur, Jul 17 (Prensa Latina) - The Organization of the Islamic Conference, with headquarters in Malaysia, condemned the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and targets in Palestinian territories, which has left a considerable number of dead and damage.

Abdul Rahim Thamby, one of the main executives of the United Malaysian National Organization, urged to take Tel Aviv to the International Court of Justice for the atrocities it is committing against the Lebanese and Palestinian people.

In its heaviest offensive against Lebanon since the 1982 war, the Israeli armed forces, chiefly its Air Force, are bombing targets in three of the four parts of the neighbouring Arab country.

Tel Aviv attacks have expanded to the Lebanese city of Baalbek and the northern port of Tripoli.

Meanwhile, targets in Gaza strip are being attacked in an anti-Palestine offensive which started last June 28.

According to medical sources, more than 100 civilians, at least three soldiers and two members of the Muslim Hezbollah faction have lost their lives in the outbreak of violence in the Middle East.

Tel Aviv´s Haaretz daily reported on Monday that nearly 24 Israeli have also been killed in the counter attack by Hezbollah units.

Rahim emphasized that since Israel is an ally of the US, Americans will use their power to veto at the UN Security Council and reject any motion to condemn Tel Aviv.

"That is why Malaysia must help Lebanon to find justice at the ICJ," insisted Rahim.

The UMNO executive also urged the international community to condemn the Israeli fierce aggression of Lebanon, which started last Wednesday after the capture of two Tel Aviv soldiers.
