Actualité - Israel Air Raids Wake up Lebanon

Franc-Parler reproduit une dépêche de Prensa Latina News Agency rapportant une intensification des assauts contre le Liban Les forces d'occupation sionistes mènent plusieurs massacres mais le peuple libanais maintient l'unité contre l'envahisseur.

Beirut, Aug 5 (Prensa Latina) - Lebanese people woke up Saturday morning under the din of incessant air strikes, a day after Tel Aviv carried out 250 incursions, the worst day of attacks since Tel Aviv invaded that unarmed Arab country on July 12.

Friday air strikes targeted the southern Lebanese city of Tiro, though earlier Friday morning Israeli warplanes destroyed four bridges on the coast route between Beirut and northern Lebanon, the only way out left to Lebanese trying to take refuge in Syria.

Though the small village of Aytarun, near the borders with Israel, was the most hit by the Tel Aviv air raids, official sources reported that another 15 localities were devastated, where an undetermined but increasing number of people were killed or wounded.

The chaos caused by the bombings hampers rescue operations and the moving of civilian victims to hospitals, most of them children and women who took shelter in improvised refuges.

The intensification of Israel s fierce attacks responds to Tel Aviv s intention of completing its policy in Lebanon, to quash attacks from Hezbollah militia.
