Actualité - Israel to Reinvade Gaza

Beirut, Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) - Israel s General Staff Chief Gen. Dan Halutz announced before his country s Parliament s Foreign Affairs Commission on Tuesday that Tel Aviv is considering a new offensive against Gaza Strip.

Halutz made the announcement amid the Israeli media s persistent criticism of that country s Army for the disastrous invasion against Lebanon, in which Israel did not achieve its goals and had a high number of casualties.

The increasing activity in Gaza Strip, which Halutz described as terrorist groups, was claimed by the general as the main reason for a new Israeli offensive.

Halutz predicted the withdrawal of the Israeli troops deployed in South Lebanon from Tuesday to Friday.
