Actualité - US Admits 12 Casualties in Three Days

Baghdad, Jan 28 (Prensa Latina) - The US Central Command in Iraq admitted on Sunday that six of its soldiers died and a same number was wounded in rebel attacks in the Arab country, where chaos and insecurity continue prevailing.

According to the release, two soldiers died and a third one was wounded on Saturday when a roadside bomb hit a US military vehicle in north Baghdad capital.

On Thursday, an American soldier lost his life and three others were wounded in a similar attack in Diyala.

Another three US soldiers died and five others were wounded on Wednesday when a roadside bomb targeted a military convoy in north Baghdad.

Eighty American servicemen have been reported killed so far this month in Iraq.

Washington has lost 3081 troops in the Arab country in nearly four years of occupation, most of them killed by the resistance.

Chaos and insecurity continued prevailing in Iraq on Sunday, where more than 70 victims, including dead and wounded, were reported.

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior reported on Sunday the death of the advisor of the minister of Industry, Abdel Abdul Muhsin, who was shot dead in the Baghdad neighbourhood of Al Dakhliya, along with his daughter and two other persons.

Also on Sunday, four people died and another 18 were wounded in a bomb explosion in South Baghdad.

Meanwhile, in the Shia neighbourhood of Sadr, in Baghdad, five people lost their lives and 35 others were wounded when a hidden bomb detonated.

In west Baghdad, three students died and another 11 were wounded on Sunday when three mortar bombs hit a high school for girls.
