Actualité - President Evo Morales Bolivia and US Clash over Visas

Franc-Parler publie une dépêche à propos des mesures prises par la Bolivie en raisons de provocations de gouvernement américain. Le nouveau président Evo Morales va publier une liste de citoyens américains intrdits de séjour en Bolivie.

La Paz, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) - President Evo Morales on Friday said he will release a list of US citizens barred from Bolivia as soon as Washington presents a list of Bolivians blacklisted from the United States.

Morales´ statements came after the US Consulate denied an entry visa to Bolivian Deputy Basic Services

Minister Rene Orellana, a decision that the US Embassy attributed to an alleged error.

The president openly condemned the situation, which is the second case of this kind, after Senator and social activist Leonilda Zurita, who works close to the statesman, was banned from traveling to the United States.

Morales asked US Ambassador David Greenlee to present a list of all
government officials and lawmakers who cannot travel to the United States.

Ambassador Greenlee had denied that Orellana´s visa was refused due to political reasons, claiming that it was due to technical errors in the embassy's computer system.
