Beirut, Aug 1 (Prensa Latina) - Israeli forces and Hezbollah guerrillas continue Tuesday engaged in fierce clashes in Lebanon while Tel Aviv is on edge over the lack of results.

Fighting in southern Aita in Shaab, Aadaise and Taibe cities, has left three Israeli soldiers dead and several others hurt, Hezbollah sources said.

Three weeks after the ground offensive and mass air strikes on the Arab nation, Tel Aviv has not achieved tangible results but has taken a lot of flak over its behavior.

Its two soldiers continue in the hands of the Islamic resistance and the international community is rejecting the raid.

This is illustrated with declarations of Finnish Foreign Minister Erki Tuomioja, who ruled out the success of the Israeli aggression and forecasted he will help increase support for Hezbollah forces.

In addition, the breaking-off of a 48-hour truce by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Tel Aviv´s disposition to exchange two Lebanese prisoners for its two soldiers shows uneasiness over this operation.

As a result, the US is now between the sword and the wall and its Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is cautious when supporting Israel.
