Actualité - US Iraq Air Strike Condemned
Baghdad, Dec 10 (Prensa Latina) - The Association of Muslim Academics and the Iraq Islamic Party Saturday condemned a US air raid against the Al Ishaki locality, in which 32 people were killed, including women and children.
The massacre took place in that village of the Iraqi province of Salahaddin, which is populated chiefly by Islamic Sunnis.
On Saturday, local television channels broadcast images of the funeral services of some of the US military operation victims.
The crowd attending the funeral services shouted slogans such as "long live the resistance" and "defeat the occupiers." Other regional dailies reported a suicide attack in front of Al-Abbas mosque in the holy city of Kerbala, south of Baghdad, where 8 people lost their lives and 44 others were wounded.
Meanwhile, Al Iraquiya television channel informed on Saturday that five people died in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul when a car bomb went off in Al Yarmuk square.
