Actualité - Israel Attack Kills 5 in Gaza Strip

Ramallah, Jul 5 (Prensa Latina) An Israeli military operation against downtown Gaza left five Palestinians dead, including three militants of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), it was reported on Thursday.

Hamas, which has been controlling the Gaza Strip over the last three weeks, affirmed in a release the casualties were reported east of the Al Bureij refugee camp, and medical staff said another three people were wounded.

An Israeli Army spokesperson said it was a routine operation, and Palestinians confronted the troops upon entering the Strip.
